Randic-Turato, Architecture of Transition, is the first in a series of Monographs, "Croatian Architects," by the Arhitekst publishers. This monograph presents the architectural production of Sasa Randic and Idis Turato from 1992 to 2000. In the case of Randic and Turato, merely to engage in architecture during the country's transitionally destitute times, it was necessary to anticipate and transform transitional processes with high degree of intelligence.
Randic and Turato are architects of transition who managed to widen the traditional architectural discourse, transforming themselves into managers of change. Kenneth Frampton, whose essay is opening this book, sees them as urban guerillas and their office as an "agent provocateur".
